The Infamous VMAs

i know i'm a few days late with this but i just had to do it. there were so many beautiful (and horribly) dressed celebrities at the VMAs!!! so here are my favorite (least favorite) of the VMAs 2009. oh, but before i forget; how can i post a VMA entry without mentioning the kanye west/taylor swift ordeal?! literally, 30 seconds after it happened, there were about 10 statuses of "wow i can't believe kanye is that big of a douche" of "how could he do that to my future wife?" all over facebook. a half hour later, there were at least 100. thanks for blowing up my facebook, kanye.

gossip girl star, leighton meester, always looks fabulously cute & she looked fabulous at the VMAs in this cute, little silver dress & white gold studded sandals. her smokey make up added the finishing touch to her bad girl image.

kristin cavallari has definitely grown up from the surfer chick on laguna beach to the beautiful, independent woman she is today (i can't believe i actually said that). she looked amazing with her hair slicked back into a long ponytail, a silver strapless dress, & black pumps. by the way, have you heard of the kristin & john mayer rumors?!?!?! :*

LOVE IT

pink & shakira both showed up wearing the exact same dress~ a beautiful, strapless, leather, silver Balmain dress (btw, i love it to pieces) but whenever two people show up at a huge event wearing the exact same dress, we all think the same question; who wore it better?! so. i'm personally a huge fan of pink. i love her & her attitude, her style, her intelligence. i think more women should be more kick-ass & laid back as her. but to be quite honestttt, i didn't love the dress on her. i definitely thought she looked cute, but i definitely could've thought she picked a more flattering outfit to suit her, her curves, & her attitude. especially when looking at her past VMA outfits. shakira on the other hand, looked really stunning. i loved the thigh-high boots with the dress. she looked so classy! i thought the dress fit her really well.

i hated katy perry's playsuit she wore to the 2008 VMAs so i am thrilled she this amazingly hot silver studded & spiked mini dress with painted silver nails. she looked amazing. i love it. anyone who disagrees is nuts! it's so urban rock meets the futuristic style. ahhh, it's flawless! the pink lips adds a nice touch to the silver look too.

i'm not a fan of taylor swift. at all. but i think she looked extremely stunning that night in the one-shoulder, cream, sparkle gown & red lips. her hair pulled back with the loose curls looks so elegant with the gown too. the gown fits her body so well and so do the red lips. such a classy young lady! at least she looked good while getting dissed by kanye.

i think whitney port always looks so cute & adorable. honestly. her hair is always flawless & she has great taste in style. this black & gray bustier mini dress with the mesh skirt attached to it is so freakin' cute!!! especially paired with those little black booties. i looooooove, love, loooove it. it's classy & cute at the same time. and of course, she looks stunning. it's definitely something i would wear.

i really hate what the twilight star, ashley greene is wearing. i mean, i guess the top is okay; even though i don't really get it & don't see anything special about it... but it just looks horrible with the gold skirt. it looks extremely unflattering on her. her hair actually looks really cute though... so i'm upset to see her outfit doesn't match her hair. so confusing!

okay, please don't get me wrong, but i really love this dress! & the pumps! & the maroon lipstick! buuuuut... on lo bosworth... she looks like a 40 year old mom. i have no idea what it is with lo, but it seems like she tries too hard. i mean... honest, she looks like a mother of 3! it's just all wrong and there's something very off about it. maybe it's just me... but i don't know. as much as i love the dress, it's just not working for me. sorry, mom.

i hate all of the hype lauren conrad gets for her fashion sense... because really, she doesn't have any. she's just some rich girl & that's really it. sometimes she looks cute, sometimes she wears something i like, but most of the time it's like... she doesn't know what she's doing. i just don't get it. like, her fashion line?? it sucks. she sucks. eiurfjkshdsksh. anyway. at the VMAs, i thought she looked awful. okay, maybe awful is a bit too dramatic to say but i didn't think she looked so hot. i think it was the hair. i thought her hairstyle was extremely unflattering on her. the dress was cute i guess, but i didn't think it was flattering on her either. she could've found something much, much better to suit her figure. is it just me? please tell me it's not just me...

HATE IT
i do not give two shits if you're a lady gaga fan because i certainly, clearly am not. she is one fucking weird, bizarre woman & no one can deny that. & i mean weird in a strange, bizarre, creepy as fuck kind of way. please tell me what the fuck she is wearing? please. she says she's a fan of david bowie & that's where she gets her fashion sense from but really, he pulled off some really amazing outfits. not some red lace mask bullshit & a fuzzy snow hat?!?!?! i reeeeally don't understand. i hate how celebrities do this. dress or do things for attention when they're already famous enough. fuck you lady gaga!
