♥ valentine's day part II

okay, so i must say that my valentine's day was really beautiful. my boyfriend set up a wonderful candle lit dinner with my red candle sticks, red beaded place mats, red cloth napkins, aaaaand red wine (which is fabulous since i prefer red over white). he made pizza from scratch which was the best ever since he's italian & only italians can make pizza A+. so that was delicious and he got me a huge chocolate rose & a box of assorted chocolates (of course, favorite) from varda. i was actually very surprised he did all of this for me since he's not that kind of person and since it's all veeeery cliche (but adorable!!!) but it turned out so very lovely.
i baked heart-shaped sugar cookies for michael, my boyfriend and drizzled chocolate over them. they came out okay. not as good as i thought they would turn out :( but decent. some of the cookies turned out so thick and others very thin (i was going for thin) and they were all gigantic since the heart-shaped cookie cutter i found in the store was huge and that was the only size they had. but michael liked them :) i also gave him chocolates; from godiva & lindt & some retarded "cute-a-pillar" thing (a joke).
i really hope everyone else's was just as nice. everyone deserves a lovely one. or if you see it as just another day on the calender, i hope you had a wonderful day anyway. :)

♥ happy valentine's day !! part I

happy valentine's day everyone.
i hope everyone's valentine's day is fantastic- full of chocolates, goodies, and love.
some people see valentine's day as a cheesy "Hallmark" card holiday but just the happiness on valentine's day is what makes this holiday so fun! spending the day with the one you love exchanging little valentine's gifts and chocolate hearts; your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your wife, your husband, your family, or spouse. so for those of you who do see this holiday as a Hallmark holiday, at least spend it with the one you love. that's what this day is all about! and eat lots and lots of chocolate. this is your excuse to eat as much chocolate as you want :)
